Appointments

Our clinic runs by an appointment system, all appointments are a standard 15 minutes. We do have emergency appointments available each day to allow for any emergency problems that arise.  Please let our friendly staff know if you are in need of a longer appointment for 2 or more medical problems. If you no longer need your appointment, we would appreciate if you could please phone and cancel. Fail to attend three (3) times will incur a fee and needs to be settled before making any further appointments.

Telephone Access / Email

Clinicians in the practice may be contacted during working hours.  If the clinician is with a patient, a message will be taken, and the reception staff will advise when it is likely that you will get a return call.  In an emergency your call will always be put through to a clinician who is available.

Email is not our preferred means of communication.  There is a risk that important clinical information sent via this method may be missed or not pickup up, particularly time critical information.  In addition, we urge all patients to carefully consider the issue of security before sending medical information via unencrypted email.  We encourage patients to phone the practice or make an appointment to discuss clinical issues.

Cancellations & Non-Attendance

If you need to cancel an appointment please let us know as soon as possible.  A fee will apply if you do not attend your appointment without timely cancellation.

Walk In Appointments
This practice operates on an appointment basis.  Walk ins are accepted, however there may be an unavoidable wait as priority is given to patients who have a booked appointment with their clinician.

Repeat Referral & Scripts

If you require a Referral letter or Script you will require an appointment.

Home Visits / After Hours Care

Home visits are available at the discretion of the clinician only.  For urgent care outside of our practice opening hours, please call your local hospital or 000. For non-urgent health advice please call 13 HEALTH (13 43 2584), National Home Doctors 13 SICK (137425) or Hello Home Doctor Service 134 100.

Test Results

Your clinician will advise when test results are expected to be ready. You will then need to arrange an appointment to discuss your results. Please note: We are unable to give results over the phone due to privacy and confidentiality.

Recall and Reminder System

We have a computerised recall and reminder system in place. You will receive a reminder to attend the clinic if the doctor considers it is necessary.

Billing

We are a Private/Mixed Billing Practice Monday to Friday. All Immunisations under the National Immunisation will be bulk billed. Please speak with our staff to find our fee schedule.

If you are referred to another facility you may be charged a fee for that service. Your doctor will discuss this at the time of making your referral.

Your Privacy

Your Medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that the information is only available to authorised members of staff. We have a comprehensive policy on the management of Personal Health Information. Our Privacy Policy can be viewed here.

We welcome any feedback that will help us to improve our service. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously.
